vineyards with the same meticulous care as our ancestors. Sams Valley Vineyard lies in the Rogue Valley appellation of Southern Oregon. We planted our first vines in 1999 and now have approximately 70 acres in vineyard. Our site is oriented to a southwestern exposure at 1400 ft. elevation. The vineyard is known for its unique terroir of Medford loam with a strain of volcanic ash. The soil composite, in addition to a high heat index and lack of rain, allows us to create complex fruit with intense flavors and exceptional balance. We have taken extra care in choosing our varietals to match our sight. We feel that the long growing season allows us to produce the highest quality fruit of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah and Sangiovese.
